About the Role:

The Operations Engineer will support the audit enablement and operational health of PhonePe's technology infrastructure. Working closely with senior engineers and managers, this role focuses on maintaining operational efficiency through well-documented processes, structured monitoring, and automation practices. It’s an ideal position for professionals eager to grow in system operations, infrastructure management, and audit readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute audit evidence collection and maintain accurate logs and reports.
• Support monitoring and health checks for system backups and archival platforms.
• Assist in remediation tracking and closure of operational gaps.
• Follow SOPs and execute recurring operational tasks with consistency.
• Learn and adopt automation tools for improved productivity.
• Document workflows and share knowledge across teams.
• Collaborate with senior engineers for process improvement and audit preparedness.

Key Technical Skills:

Linux, Networking, Scripting or Coding (Python, Shell, or similar), Database basics, System monitoring, Backup management, Documentation, Automation tools

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in infrastructure or operations roles.
• Basic understanding of system health monitoring, reporting, and backups.
• Strong organizational skills and clarity in documentation.
• Willingness to work with automation frameworks and audit processes.
• Good communication and a proactive learning mindset.
